Beeps Vendor

Understanding Beep Code Syntax when making a selection:

This search tool allows you to find troubleshooting information based on interpreting the sequence of computer beeps. For example, when you power-on your computer and rather than booting-up normally, it begins beeping (and nothing else happens) - you may want to know what those beeps mean. That is where this database can be of use to you.

Each sequence of beeps has a particular meaning; therefore, it's important to jot down the exact pitch, number, order and the number of pauses between beeps.

Beep codes are entered into database according to a conventional format. Interpreting the syntax is as follows:

A dash (-) between numbers means a pause. For example, 1-2-2-1 is interpreted as 1 beep, pause, 2 beeps, pause, 2 beeps, pause, 1 beep.
